Overview

The Center for Jewish Learning offers the opportunity to learn with Rabbi Neal Loevinger, Cantor Shapiro and Miriam Rubin, with distinguished scholars, and with talented members of the Temple Beth-El community. Our classes are suitable for the novice learner as well as for those with greater experience in Jewish study.

Our full Fall class schedule resumes November 6, 2008, with shorter sessions prior to the high holidays.  Rabbi Neal's Tuesday noon adult ed class continues as usual.   A full schedule will be posted in the upcoming months.

The fees collected for classes will be used to pay non-clergy teachers and to supplement administrative and material costs. No one will be precluded from study due to financial difficulty. Please contact either Susan Canning or Rabbi Neal Loevinger at 845-454-0570 if this is an issue.

We hope you’ll take some time to browse through our course catalog and consider what might be of interest to you.  In addition, there are opportunities for ongoing learning with Rabbi Neal on Tuesday mornings and during Saturday Shabbat Torah study. It is our hope that these learning experiences will deepen your relationship to Jewish practice, the Jewish people, and the Temple Beth-El community.
