The Sisterhood Mission
The mission of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism is to strengthen and unite synagogue women’s groups and their members; support them in mutual efforts to understand and perpetuate Conservative / Masorti Judaism in the home, synagogue and community; and reinforce their bonds with Israel and with Jews worldwide.
Temple Beth El has an active Sisterhood. They sponsor the oneg and kiddush following Shabbat Services if there is no Bar or Bat Mitzvah. They ensure there are always flowers on the Bima on Shabbat. They run the Book Shop and Gift Shop using the proceeds to contribute to the custodial fee and the religious school. In addition, they replace kitchen items as needed. They are involved in most of the activities taking place in the Temple.

The shops are open on Sundays from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. There are Hanukkah stories, recordings, menorahs, and colorful tapered candles in stock. The Women's League for Conservative Judaism diary/calendar is now available from the temple office.
For additional information please call Jane Dworkin regarding the gift shop, or Geri Bromberg regarding the bookshop. Additional shop hours can be made by appointment.
