Sept. 3 Shabbat B’Yachad Joyful, spirited and intergenerational Shabbat service including interactive Torah story, lively Shabbat melodies, candle lighting and more. Mourners’ Kaddish is said. Informal attire is welcome. During this event we will celebrate all September birthdays. Great for all generations!

Sept. 4 9:00 PM there will be a Selichot Service and Program at Temple Beth-El. The service led by Cantor Rena Shapiro is filled with songs, musical instruments and prayers to assist in your spiritual accounting during the month of Elul. Program includes clips and discussion from the DVD, Choose Life: Holy Day Conversations III produced by the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies.  Light Refreshments will be served.

Sept. 6 The Temple Beth-El office will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

Sept. 12   12 noon, “Shofar Over the Hudson” at Waryus Park in Poughkeepsie. The Shalom Singers led by Cantor Rena Shapiro will add a musical component to the event.  Open to the public and free of charge. Apples and honey will be provided.

Sept. 13 A Temple Beth-El Board meeting will be held on Monday evening at 7:30 PM.

Sept. 26 Sukkot B’yachad 10:00AM a joyful, spirited and shortened Sukkot service will take place in the Temple Beth-El sanctuary. Service includes an interactive stories, lively holiday melodies, Lulav Shake and more! Informal attire is welcome. Great for all generations! Refreshments follow in the TBE Sukkah.

Sept. 26 TBE Inaugural Golf Tournament
Temple Beth El is excited to announce that we will be hosting our inaugural golf tournament at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland on Sunday, September 26th at 1pm. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, beverages, snacks and an award dinner. Raffles and prizes will be awarded at the event. We invite all members of the community and their friends to join us in what is sure to be a hole-in-one. Cost: $100 per golfer with all proceeds benefiting Temple Beth El Capital Fund. Registration is due by no later than September 13th. HIGH HOLIDAY GIFTBAGS
The Temple Beth-El Sisterhood will be preparing and selling High Holiday Gift bags again this year in time for Sukkot. Forms will be available on the Temple website http://www.templebethelpokny.org, Chayenu and in the Temple office, or call 454-0570 for more information.
