Supporting the Temple

There are many ways to support Temple Beth-El. All members provide support through membership dues. Details on the Dues structure are found in the New Member Information.

Besides dues, there are many funds to which contributions may be made for specific purposes. Following is a list of those funds:

GENERAL OPERATING FUND
Temple Beth-El’s Board of Trustees utilizes this fund to defray current synagogue expenses. Your unrestricted gifts to the General Operating Fund help Temple Beth-El wherever the current need is greatest. (Also added to the General Operating Fund are contributions that commemorate an event or honor an individual, prayer book dedications, and purchases of memorial plaques or leaves on the synagogue’s “Tree of Life.”)

“MITZVAH CARDS” (SYNAGOGUE SCRIP)
Through arrangement with several local merchants, Temple Beth-El receives gift cards at a discount to face value. By purchasing these “Mitzvah Cards” from the temple and using them instead of cash when they shop, synagogue members support the synagogue.

75TH ANNIVERSARY ENDOWMENT FUND
