Kadima 2011-12
Kadima is the 6th through 8th grade youth group of the Conservative movement. Kadima is chartered by Temple Beth-El as a member of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, the organization of Conservative congregations in North America. Kadima consists of 17 regions covering Canada and the United States. We are part of Tzafon Region, which covers upstate New York and the western parts of Massachusetts and Vermont.

In many ways, KADIMA is a typical teenage youth group. We seek to create an informal setting in which we learn about our Jewish heritage, become more aware of community concerns, and have a great time socializing with other Jewish youth.

Officers and chairpersons are under the direction and approval of the Advisor and Youth Director that run the chapter. The congregation has a Youth Commission, which directs youth programs and supervises the Advisor and Director of Kadima and USY (grades 9-12, affiliate organization). Temple Beth-El’s Chapter of Kadima is named Yedidei Tzafon, which means Friends from the north.
